Change Status

The Status variable in the Clinician's Toolkit provides an indication of how the client's change on the Global Distress Scale (GDS) at each point in treatment compares to expected change based on data from comparable cases in the Toolkit database.

Based on analysis of all cases in the Toolkit database, 66% of cases have a Status of "As expected", while 17% are classified as "Off track" and 17% are classified as "Better than expected" at the most recent assessment.

Cases classified as "Off track" may be at risk to end treatment prematurely, but are likely to improve in future sessions if they remain engaged in treatment.

Some organizations may use alternative descriptors for the Status variable.
